Sadie Puggerton

Sadie Puggerton

Sadie spent the first four years of her life being used as a caged puppy machine, with a very poor diet and no proper eye care. This neglect left her with rotten teeth and poor vision. After Sadie was surrendered, I was asked to foster her while she recovered from being spayed. She quickly became a “failed foster,” because I knew almost immediately that I wouldn’t be able to let her go—so I adopted her.

Lilibet Puggerton

Lilibet was abandoned at a vet at just six weeks old by a breeder because she had a severe upper respiratory infection. When I adopted her a few weeks later, she was still very sick and was classed as having complex medical needs, along with behavioural issues and hyperactivity. After several months of treatment and lots of love, she recovered from the infection. Lilibet still has behavioural challenges, including ADHD-like hyperactivity, food aggression, and resource guarding, but after many years of training and working with behaviourists and vets, she has improved so much.

Winnie Puggerton

Winnie was surrendered, adopted, and then surrendered again due to behavioural issues. She had experienced trauma, was reactive with people, and was terrified of children. Since she has been with me, I have worked hard with a trainer to build her confidence, and her progress over the past year amazes me every day. I will continue to build her confidence and give her all the love, patience, and time that she needs.

Kiki Puggerton

Kiki joined my family in late July 2026 after being surrendered. She had already been through surgery to remove mammary tumours. She has since had further surgery, and all removed tissue and lymph nodes were clear of cancer. She continues monitoring, and I am focused on giving her the happiest, most comfortable life possible.

My History

The Puggertons was born from my journeys with Sadie, Lilibet, Winnie, and Kiki. I share their real-life transformations to promote rescue dog adoption. Each pug arrived at my home with a unique backstory, and I am proud of the love, patience, and progress we share.
